Bendale’s Child Abuse Prevention Workshop will be held on November 24, 2023 in the Sanctuary. The workshop will be held from 7pm to 8:30pm. For those who desire to work with children, or for those why may offer themselves as backups for Sunday School or other children’s activities at Bendale, this workshop is a requirement. Please mark your calendars for this important date.

There will be a Christmas-themed Karaoke Community Event on Saturday November 25th in the lower auditorium from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. Invite your friends. Please bring finger foods to share. Speak to Barb Hopkins-Scarpino if you have questions.

Children’s Christmas Play and Plum Pudding Dessert Night will be held on Sunday, December 3 starting at 6:30 p.m. with hot apple cider in the Heritage Room. Please bring a dessert to share. Plum Pudding will be provided.

Bendale has a rich tradition of Christmas carolling in the neighbourhood. This year, we will be carolling on Wednesday, December 20. Please meet at the church no later than 6:15pm. We will pray together and then go out along Burnview to carol.

Family Games Night Friday, January 12, 7:00 to 11:00 p.m. in the upstairs auditorium. You are welcome to bring nut-free snacks, finger food and desserts to share. Invite friends!

Valentine Card-Making Saturday, February 10, 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. in the lower auditorium. Invite families!

Mondays from 10 a.m. until 12 noon in the lower auditorium where you can enjoy homemade treats and lively conversation!

Bendale is offering two 13-week GriefShare Support Groups in Bendale’s lower auditorium:

• Wednesday evenings – 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
• Thursday mornings – 10 a.m. to 12 noon

We invite you to continue to bring non-perishable food donations to place in the bins in the hallway for a local food bank. If there are those in need among us in the Bendale Family, we want to make sure that you are taken care of as well. So, if you are in need of food, please feel free to help yourself to food in the bins and the surplus will be delivered to a local food bank.
