Town Hall Meeting
- There is a Town Hall Meeting combined with the Call to Prayer Sunday January 8, 6:30 p.m.
- At that meeting we will present the budget plan for 2012. Please plan to attend!
Food Bank
- Remember to be generous with your giving to those who have so little. Jesus said “For I was hungry and you fed me…” the righteous said “Lord, when did we ever see you hungry and feed you…” and the king would tell them: When you did it to the one of the least of these, my brothers and sisters you were doing it to me”. Matt 25:3a, 36a, 40
- Donations should be unwrapped. Please DO NOT bring perishables or glass containers.
- Donation boxes are in the front lobby.
Thanks
- Bendale women would like to express their appreciation for the beautiful new washroom in the downstairs area. Many thanks to all who participated in the project and special mention to Ron & Beck Gooch who put the “finishing touches” to it.
- Thanks to Anna and all who work involved in the wonderful Christmas play last Sunday. The evening wouldn’t have been complete without Patsy and her team getting our yummy desert night organized. The evening was a great success.
Tuesday Morning Home Bible Study
- Please join us for the Home Bible Study at Vi Hrivnak’s (107 Cedar Brae Blvd. – just south of the church at the corner of Bellamy & Cedar Brae) on Tuesdays at 10 a.m.
- We will be starting the Gospel of Mark on Tuesday, January 17.
- This would be a great time for newcomers to start!
- Study guides may be purchased for $2.00.
- Please contact: Cindy Westacott for details at 416-281-6853.
Pray for Missionaries we support and know
Karin & Bernd Flock
- Student ministry in full swing, weekly Bible studies.
- Book table in pedestrian zone downtown – over 100 books given away and 5,000 devotional calendars as well.
- Käti continues to get tested looking for ways resolve her problems
- Upstairs neighbours were touched by the message of a visiting evangelist · answered prayer – downstairs neighbours – able to share the gospel with them (both very ill in 70s)
- 2 young women have started a ministry with women in Mureck.
- Thank you for our continued support – 28 years in Austria
Susan Robinson
- Please pray for the Howes Family. Karen has had cancer for a while and she went home to be with the Lord Wednesday morning. Please pray for her children (Candace & Matt) especially, during this difficult time. Her husband has been amazing and so supportive. Please pray for strength for Richard.
- I have to get a 30 cm mass checked out on my leg but the doctor’s think that this will be clear as well. My leg never went down in swelling after my Stinging Nettle episode.
- I would love your continued prayers. I have this rash all over my body. It’s terribly itchy and absolutely raw. I have been in the woods cutting down some pine limbs. Pine is no good for your skin, apparently.
- Please continue to pray for the work here. With Christmas just around the corner, many youth are experiencing significant sadness. Many do not have a family to spend Christmas with also several youth have to choose which parent to spend Christmas with.
- Pray that our young people will find Peace this Christmas
